Frequently Asked Questions
How many cards will it fit?
The Buck is made with full-grain vegetable tanned leather, which is very good at stretching. I've seen people fit an absurd amount of cards and cash in these wallets, but I wouldn't suggest it. These wallets are made to comfortably fit 6-8 cards and some halved cash.
Again, you can fit more in there. At first, it'll be really tight but it will eventually break in. The risk is it being loose once it's broken in and you decide you don't need that Blockbuster membership card anymore.
Why is it so expensive?
This isn't the poorly made wallet that you buy at the big box store. All of my wallets are hand made in the United States (not in China) using the highest quality leather money can buy.
Think of this as an investment. Instead of buying a new wallet every couple years, this wallet will be with you long enough that you can pass it down to your kids.
Is there a warranty?
Yes! Your wallet should outlast you (assuming you take decent care of it). The only real risk is a thread coming undone. If that happens, you can contact me and I'll take care of ya!
What is patina?
Patina makes the world go round.
Patina is the gradual process of natural materials (in this case, leather) aging. The leather I use for my wallets (Pueblo from Badalassi Carlo) has an incredibly unique patina. While the leather starts matte with a tumbled finish; it will gradually get shinier and significantly darker over time. This is by far my favorite aspect of working with real leather. If you've never experienced it, I think you'll love it.
What if I don't like it?
Due to the nature of my business, I can't offer returns or refunds at this time. If you gave a wallet enough of a chance to decide you don't like it, I can't resell it. This is a small operation and I don't have the endless budget some companies do to eat losses. What I can do is offer you a discount on your next wallet and point you to communities where you can try to sell the one you don't love.
If you ordered a wallet and you're not in love with it, contact me here and I'd love to help you however I can.
